Cloud Trends during the Holiday Season
2011 holiday season shopping sees a significant increase in sales compared to last year’s figures, especially in online shopping.
2011 sales on Cyber Monday increased by 22 percent compared to 2010, and the use of mobile devices for online shopping purposes has increased dramatically in 2011 compared to last year.
That being said, online shopping during the holiday season means an increase in cloud usage. With the Black Friday, Cyber Monday and – on a much smaller scale – Small Business Saturday, online shops’ servers are working hard – and the cloud saves the day(s)!
